March IOH Spotlight featuring Dr. Acre & Dr. Dabdoub
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (#PTSD) has long been considered a lifelong disorder, which until recently was rarely treated successfully. However, the opposite is true today regarding PTSD, most cases are quickly and effectively treated. Patients with PTSD that receive appropriate evidenced based treatments (e.g., Cognitive Processing Therapy [CPT], Prolonged Exposure [PE], etc.) are usually cured and even become more productive than they were prior to experiencing trauma.
This month Institutes Of Health features two individuals making an impact and exemplifying excellence in the field of workers’ compensation –> PTSD experts Dr. Alan Acre, Psy.D. and Dr. George Dabdoub, Psy.D. We encourage you take 5 minutes to review their amazing stories and Gold Standard approaches in treating PTSD.
