IOH Celebrates Brain Injury Awareness Month – Week 1

Institutes Of Health is proud support Brain Injury Awareness Month and stand with the concussion community to break down stigma and empower those who have survived traumatic brain injuries. Each week in March, we raised awareness for one of the most common, yet least understood, forms of injury-related disability, a traumatic brain injury.
WEEK 1: Brain injury does not just affect the person injured. Families, friends and coworkers suffer the widespread impact of brain injury. As a community we strive to fundamentally de-stigmatize this largely invisible condition. At IOH, our mission is to help heal, empower and facilitate the re-integration of brain injury victims as well as support and educate the public and those who care for them.
